CAMDEN L2S Reminders, Rebranding & Updates
L2S Members
Please find CAMDEN L2S Reminders, Rebranding & Updates linked & below - introducing our new L2S characters!
We wanted to get in touch in the midst of the season to provide a few house keeping reminders and inform you of the evolution of our offer. We are continuously reviewing our offer and working towards improving member experience. As always, feedback is welcome regarding these changes and/or other aspects of the programme.
Lessons resumed on the weekend of 10/11 January 2026 and continue until 11/12 July 2026 with the following exceptions:
Sunday 22 February 2026 - No lessons at ASL only.
27/28 March 2026 - No lessons at ASL only.
4/5 April 2026 - EASTER - No lessons due to pool closures.
The Stages Co-ordinator, James Dill, is poolside during lessons during most weekends. If you do not have opportunity to catch him (or one of the Lead Teachers) in person, James can be contacted through one of the following methods during his admin hours (Monday-Friday from 12-4pm). James endeavours to respond within 3 working days, we thank you in advance for your patience should there be a delay.

Further programme developments will be rolled out across February, please check the L2S section of the CSCSC website for updates and additional information.
We’re delighted to confirm that we have managed to secure swimming caps for all of our L2S members. This will enable members to use a bespoke code (issued for each swimmer registered in the L2S programme) to purchase a CSCSC swimming cap directly from our partners at Allens of Kingsbury.
Following a successful Talent ID recruitment at the end of 2025, together we’re working closely with our Lead squad coaches to improve our pathway from the L2S to CSCSC Squads Programme. We will host targeted Talent ID days to identify L2S swimmers and invite them to attend an Academy Squad taster session.
As previously communicated, we are moving away from the Swim England National Curriculum stages but its structure remains the foundation of our learn to swim programme. This change will allow us to better tailor our teaching approach to suit the needs of our members and continue to deliver high-quality lessons.
This review and development includes expanding our offer on Sundays at ASL to include 30min Stage 6 classes. As swimmers progress through the programme from ASL to Mallinson, we will not permit the movement of swimmers from Stage 6 at Mallinson to ASL.
You will begin to see our CAMDEN swimming lessons as:
Clownfish – Small, bright, wiggly swimmers who are just starting out (equivalent to Swim England Stage 1)
Angelfish – Graceful, beginning to explore deeper and glide confidently (equivalent to Swim England Stages 2 & 3)
Manta Ray –Wide-winged swimmers who move smoothly and calmly through the water (equivalent to Swim England Stages 4 & 5)
Dolphin – Fast, playful, skilled swimmers who zip through the pool with control (equivalent to Swim England Stage 6)
Emperor Penguin – Strong, streamlined swimmers learning agility and endurance (equivalent to Swim England Stage 7)
Narwhal – Advanced, powerful swimmers mastering long distances and technique (equivalent to Swim England Stage 8)
We understand it will take some time for teachers, swimmers, and parents to get used to the new structure and terminology. To assist with familiarity and progression, we have kept the stage numbers on our stage mascots.
Finally, do you know a school (with a pool), or family who might love our swimming classes? Feel free to connect us — we’d appreciate your support in expanding CSCSC’s L2S programme. A quick introduction could open the door to more classes, more times, and more locations for families like yours.
Thank you for your continued support!
