CSCSC Fee Structure and Financial Policies

By joining Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club, you acknowledge the following fee structure and financial processes:

Fee Structure

Membership:

Club membership is required for all CSCSC swimmers (including lessons) and is payable upon registration.

For eligible swimmers* joining the Learn to Swim Programme at the Mallinson Sports Centre or ASL, the one off membership fees are £5.00

*An eligible swimmer at ASL is up to 10 years of age as of 30 June 2026. At Mallinson an eligible swimmer is up to 10yrs* (as of 30 June 2026) to access Stage 5 whilst swimmers up to 12yrs* (as of 30 June 2026) are eligible to access Stages 6-8 (e.g. swimmers may not be/turn 10 or 12 during the 2025/26 season).

Lessons Fees:

Lessons are paid for on a monthly basis. Fees invoiced and charged will reflect the number of lessons in the respective calendar month, are only payable by debit/credit card and are due regardless of how many sessions the swimmer attends per month.

The account will be invoiced monthly on the 1st for lessons fees with the exception of the first month your swimmer is registered and attends lessons.

E.g. If you register your swimmer on 15 July, your account will be invoiced and card charged on the first day of lessons (6/7 September). However if you registered your swimmer on 13 November, your account will be invoiced and card charged on the first lesson (15/16 November). Once you pay the L2S membership fee your swimmer can attend the next scheduled lesson - CSCSC will not contact you to confirm your swimmer’s start date.

Any account with an outstanding balance on the 3rd banking day (of the month) will be invoiced and charged a £5/swimmer administration fee. Should the account not be brought back up to date by the 15th of the calendar month, will result in the account being suspended. The swimmer(s) will be removed from the programme, with no access to lessons. In line with this agreement, CSCSC will continue to attempt to collect unpaid fees.

The Club does not offer members the option to freeze fees or to pause a membership for weeks/months, nor can 'catch-up' lesson(s) be arranged for missed lessons. Swimmers may only attend the class they are registered in to and (email) requests of this nature will not be responded to by club administrators. Furthermore, the club does not need to know if a swimmer will be absent or the reason for this absence.

Members with documented medical reasons who cannot access lessons must communicate (with supporting documentation) to the Club Administrator within 1 month for medical freeze or credit to be considered. The Stages Co-ordinator is not responsible for passing on this information.

Cooling off periods:

  1. Should a member register and decide to cancel a lesson or leave the club before the first lesson of the season, they forfeit their membership fee.The decision to cancel must be communicated to the Club Administrator who is responsible for cancelling the account and deleting the card on file.

  2. Once the season starts, within the same calendar month a swimmer is registered, a member has the right to cancel and the club will waive the 1 month cancellation notice period. The member must contact the Club Administrator within the same calendar month the swimmer was registered to enact this cancellation. The swimmer will be able to access lessons for the remainder of the calendar month (no refund will be issued) before the account is cancelled and the card on file being deleted before the next billing cycle. Please note that at least 48 hours notice is required to cancel to ensure no future fees are invoiced and charged.

It is a member’s responsibility to add (and update) their card details on their SE Motion account/app. No officer of the club may have access to member’s card details, therefore cannot accept card information by email or over the phone. Card details will not be stored on this or any other website. The online payment system creates a 'virtual token' for your card and will 'exchange' this token for any amounts payable to CSCSC. Follow the link for more information about Stripe’s Card Terms

Credit Card/Payment disputes will be processed by the Club Administrator with evidence provided to Stripe including this membership agreement, cancellation policy (below) and email communication.

Leaving CSCSC:

Members who wish to leave CSCSC, must be fully aware of what is required in order to resign from the club. Failure to follow this process will result in the member being liable for continued fees until the official resignation process has been followed. It is not the responsibility of the Stages Co-ordinator or CSCSC Teachers to communicate to the Club Administrator on behalf of the membership. Furthermore, CSCSC L2S does not have an attendance policy so failure to attend will not trigger a cancellation/suspension, members are entirely responsible for the management of their account, payments and communicating with the relevant person.

The Club requires 1 month written notice in advance to cancel membership and swimming lesson invoiced fees. Members are responsible for fees up to the end of the notice period. It is not possible for members to cancel lessons via their account/app.

All fees and subscriptions owed must be paid in full prior to cancellation of your membership. Please send written notice to the Club Administrator at [email protected]

The cancellation email will be confirmed, reasons for leaving/feedback will be requested and the swimmer(s) may continue to access lessons until the end of the notice period. Should a member decide to withdraw the request to cancel the account will incur a £5 administrative fee.

If no cancellation has been triggered during the season, all active learn to swim memberships will be terminated after the final lesson in the season (11/12 July 2026). Memberships are not auto-renewal and those looking to return to the programme must register for the next season and pay membership fees.

Communication with CSCSC

The Learn to Swim Programme is primarily managed by the Stages Co-ordinator and the Club Administrator. They have respective areas of responsibility within CSCSC that are not exclusive to the L2S programme. Both have contracted administration hours when queries will be responded to upon receipt and prioritised based on the needs of the club and the programme. Additionally, they have the right to disconnect.

The Stages Co-ordinator maintains an auto-reply message to answer/signpost members to a majority of the FAQs. If your query is answered in this auto-reply, do not expect a response. Please do not contact the pools as our small team is not based at these locations and the school you are contacting cannot assist you.

The website is maintained by the Club Administrator. and remains up to date. The answers to FAQs can be located in the L2S section of the CSCSC website and within your booking confirmation.

The Head Coach is the line manager of both the Club Administrator and Stages Co-ordinator. The club has a dedicated Welfare Officer and the Club Administrator is the Deputy Club Welfare Officer, find more information about Safeguarding below.
