ACADEMY BRONZE

Squad Criteria

All swimmers/parents entering the CSCSC programme will be expected to:

• Adhere to the club's policies
• Be proactive in communicating with coaching staff around
  • Absence
  • Tardiness
  • School / Family commitments​
  • Exam periods (agree a plan of action)
  • Commit fully to the expectations of the squad you are invited too.

Academy Bronze is the entry point into a club environment for swimmers just graduating from the latter stages of a learn to swim program. Swimmers will develop their technical ability and endurance. They will also be taught starts and turns. Swimmers will compete in their first competition in this squad usually at an invitational meet.

Academy Bronze Entry Criteria

• Swimmers aged 7-10. Age as of December 31.

• Able to hold good technique up to 25m in all 4 strokes

• Good streamlining and body position

• Able to dive, somersault and scull

Exit Criteria

Academy:

• Consistently scoring in the unacceptable range in the ‘process of review’
• Not adhering to the competition schedule laid out by the lead coach
• Swimmers with an attendance under 60% will be moved to the Development Squads
