Squad Criteria

All swimmers/parents entering the CSCSC programme will be expected to:

• Embody ‘The Camden Values’ and adhere to the club's policies
• Be proactive in communicating with coaching staff around
  • Absence
  • Tardiness
  • School / Family commitments​
  • Exam periods (agree a plan of action)
  • Commit fully to the expectations of the squad you are invited too.

Academy Gold is the top level of our Academy squads. It involves continued skill enhancement, development of endurance and athletic education.

• Swimmers age 7-10. Age as of December 31.
• Use Pace Clock
• Complete Sets 800m-1500m in distance holding form
• Swim a proficient 200m FC/200 IM
• Hold underwaters to 10m
• Relay Takeovers
• Compulsory Saturday morning

Pathway Progression

Academy to Junior Potential:

• Consistently scoring in the exceptional range in the ‘process of review’
• Ranked within the Top 30 swimmers in the club aged between 10-13 in the club
• Swimmers with an attendance 80% or over

Exit Criteria

Academy:

• Consistently scoring in the unacceptable range in the ‘process of review’
• Not adhering to the competition schedule laid out by the lead coach
• Swimmers with an attendance under 60% will be moved to the Development Squads
